Bangladesh Bank will audit the accounts of 10 e-commerce companies
Bangladesh Bank, the central bank of Bangladesh will audit the accounts of ten e-commerce companies in the country separately. Bangladesh Bank has sent a letter to the Ministry of Commerce in this connection. The letter suggested the appointment of an auditor through a third party.
The companies that Bangladesh Bank has suggested to appoint auditors are evaly, DhamakashPing, E-Orange, SirajganjShop, Aladdin's Lamp, Qcom, Boomboom, Adian Mart, Need.com.bd and Aleshamart.
Earlier, the Commerce Ministry had written to Bangladesh Bank to provide bank transactions and financial information of these institutions. Bangladesh Bank has given this advice to the Ministry of Commerce on September 12 in response to that letter.
The letter was confirmed by Hafizur Rahman, the director general of the WTO cell of the Ministry of Commerce.
